Pinterest For Business
When you are new to any given platform it is best to do your research first. Simply search Google for "pinterest for business" and you'll find "business.pinterest.com" where you can get the scoop right from the horse's mouth.
However, if you are branding yourself you may want to do that from a personal account. This will be all up to you how you plan to proceed. Research how others have succeeded with Pinterest and follow those examples.

It is well known by now that Pinterest can
- Drive heavy traffic
- Has become an excellent SEO strategy
- Is a real boon for customer/client research
- Is also a windfall for market research
- Can strengthen your brand
- Can garner new customers/clients (boost sales)
And that 's not even the best part.
Pinterest Pins last longer than posts at other social media platforms
A Pinterest ROI study at the Piqora.com blog states:
"50 percent of visits happen after 3.5 months of first Pinning – Pins get discovered long after they’re born and continue driving visits to sites. This is because discovery on Pinterest today is Feed Driven for fresh pins and is Search/Navigation driven for older pins. Other social networks like facebook and twitter are primarily feed driven with little or no browsing behavior. Also Pinterest Board pages can rank on Google long after the original posts."
WebpageFX, an internet marketing and SEO company says the average lifespan of a Pinterest pin is three and a half months (did they get this from Piqora?). This is 1,600 times longer than a post at Facebook. Wow, that's amazing. But, of course it is great news.
Wisemetrics.com (social media marketing powered with data) tells us, a Tweet peaks and retweets in 24 minutes and then dies. (I am not so sure about this.) A Facebook post could live 90 minute half-life at best.
A Pinterest pin? Lives forever. That's some kind of great news (again) when it comes to social media metrics.
Pinterest makes it easier to search for your product/services not only on your page but also on other pages as well, when it is re-pinned.
As your pin is shared with other users it continues to spread. You don’t have to repeat the pin over and over again to achieve this visibility. This kind of exposure is priceless.
